Long Beach musicians struggle with venue shortage

Long Beach is not like Los Angeles, where people don't have to look far for live music.  A few cutting-edge venues  in Long Beach that used to host Sublime and Snoop Dogg have closed, and the character of live music has become more uniform.  But local artists, businesses and music supporters are working hard to keep the Long Beach music scene diverse and thriving.   “A lot of venues don’t cater to other types of music besides rock music here in Long Beach.
