How should we grade our schools?

California is revising its formula for school accountability.  Currently, the Academic Performance Index (API), the number used to measure and compare, reflects one thing: standardized test scores. Advocates are pushing for the new API to address a variety of other measures, absences and suspension rates, student physical fitness and graduation rates.  Students from the East Bay speak up about their schools, on Youth Radio.schools
