Losing Walmart: unforeseen changes in my community

A Wal-mart closure has a big effect on a young person living in East Oakland, leaving her without a place to get many of the basics she relies on. "In my neighborhood, it’s easier to buy tobacco and alcohol than a pencil. Like much of the Bay Area, my neighborhood is changing quickly.
