The changing face of El Cajon Boulevard

Suburbanization in the mid-20th century deflated a vibrant central boulevard, El Cajon, which is now being heartily revitalized by independently owned shops, many operated by young adults from the area.  Locals say this renaissance has a local mindset, with an eye for attracting young people and many businesses contributing to the neighborhood improvement association.   Hear voices from the Boulevard in a video from the Media Arts San Diego's Teen Producers Project.
