Soon, you'll be able to walk to your neighborhood park

Rancho Las Flores Park opened to a positive reception last spring.  But community members soon began voicing safety concerns about a lack of walking or biking access to the park from the outside area.  Namely: there are no sidewalks on the blocks lining the park.  Residents brought the issue to local leaders, and soon money was set aside for the sidewalks.  “As a nurse, I worry about people who need to exercise, and the lack of sidewalks obstructs them from obtaining that much-needed exercise. Accessibility to the beautiful park is very important.”  The story appeared on Coachella Unincorporated.
