Learning center opens doors in rural Coachella

The San Jose Community Learning Center has opened a branch in the rural Eastern Coachella Valley, providing a learning space for both youth and adults living in the 41 surrounding mobile home parks.  Young people can ask for help with writing skills, or with particular assignments.  “In the rural areas there aren’t any places for the students and families to meet or help each other out.  There aren’t any study places within the mobile homes. This is an opportunity for young people to have a place to do their homework.” The full story is on Coachella Unincorporated.learning
