A jobs strategy to prevent gang violence

“Our Community” is a project by VoiceWaves youth reporters, tasked with exploring their community through photography.  Each piece spotlights a community-based organization with a progressive vision.  This work features Centro CHA, and organization that addresses Long Beach's gang violence problem through vocational training for low income, underserved, and at-risk youth.  Young adults with little or no job experience can get trained in different kinds of work, and even become leaders in the community.  The video is on Voicewaves.[youtube=http://youtu.be/W1g5xjrLc7g]
