A Long Beach teen immigrant story

In 2010, 16-year-old Suzan Al Shammari arrived in Los Angeles with her family after fleeing violence in Iraq, and later in Egypt.  She recalls her experiences and how they continue to shape her life in the United States.  "Like the suspects behind the Boston attacks, my family fled violence," she writes.
