Youth Radio Podcast: Are rappers ignorant about what constitutes rape?

Women's groups have responded indignantly to rapper Rick Ross's now infamous "date rape" lyric: "I took her home and enjoyed that/ she ain't even know it."  His friends and fellow rappers maintain that "art and free speech not be scrutinized in this situation," while Ross called it a "misinterpretation of a lyric."  On the podcast this week, music writer Julianne Escobedo Shepherd is interviewed about whether rappers are getting bolder, audiences are getting more sensitive, or whether we are mostly still desensitized.  Listen here on Youth Radio.
