Oakland's very first gun buyback

Youth Uprising, a youth empowerment organization in Oakland, organized an anonymous gun buyback along with the Oakland Police Department.  The buyback was initiated and led by community groups to reduce the number of guns on Oakland streets.  Over 130 cars lined up as early as 6 a.m. to get rid of their guns in exchange for $200 cash.
