First time voter attends the DNC

Dasire’e Norman will be voting for the first time come November, and she says experiencing the Democratic National Convention was an eye-opener, making her think more about the role that government plays in her life.  "Like any other family, my parents faced job layoffs and pay-cuts," she writes, and her family taught her that "we needed a government who worked for the people, as the people worked for it."  Her blog is on Voicewaves.
