Assemblyman Pérez inspires reporters to push the envelope

After he went to college, California Assemblyman Victor Mañuel Pérez told a group of student reporters, “I became an angry young Chicano.” The Coachella Democrat, talking about his progression from a complacent son of Mexican immigrants to a worker for social justice,  is the subject of a profile on Coachella Unincorporated.
