We treat our pets better than we treat people: Fresno protests new homeless ordinance

Over a hundred Fresno residents gathered at City Hall on September 29 to protest the recent passage of the Unhealthy and Hazardous Camping Act. Deemed cruel and unreasonable by multiple critics, the act allows police to arrest any homeless person camping without permission. “There’s no humanity. There’s no dignity.
