Black-owned salon brings a touch of Hollywood to Point Richmond

African-American women are reported to be the fastest growing group of entrepreneurs in the United States; and one of these business women is owner and head stylist at the first black-owned salon in Point Richmond. The neighborhood's population is wealthier than the rest of the city, and typically less diverse. Wyvonne Brown says she saw an opportunity. "When I was able to get the salon over here, it was because they wanted more of a diverse community." The story is on Richmond Pulse.salon
