Victoria Castillo recently volunteered to phone bank in support of Proposition 47, which aims to reduce prison populations by restructuring the categories of some crimes to result in fewer and shorter prison sentences. A self-described “system kid,” Castillo said her childhood experiences growing up in Merced inspired her to join the Prop. 47 campaign.
