Youth breaking the silence on depression

About 11 percent of adolescents have a depressive disorder by age 18, according to the National Institute of Mental Health. Interviews with young people at a health awareness fair, connecting through the hashtag #FeelBetter, revealed the experiences of depression that are often left out when mental health is the national spotlight. "People in my age group, they don't feel comfortable discussing matters, personal-wise, with their parents... They might not feel that they totally understand." Their personal stories were highlighted in the video by Voicewaves.[youtube=http://youtu.be/2qeR04SKI98]
