At RESPECTICON, Merced youth discuss love, sex, and respect for self and others

RESPECTICON, a live event staged at Playhouse Merced, merged concert-style music performances and sex-ed workshops to raise knowledge and dialogue among local teens. Healthy relationships, body image, rape culture, and birth control were among the subjects floated in a county with one of the highest teen birth and STI rates in the state. Middle State Feminists and We’Ced Youth Media teamed up for RESPECTICON, and captured the event for We'Ced.
