Veterans find solace in community garden

A local man started a community garden in Long Beach to be maintained by war veterans recovering from combat trauma, homelessness, and substance abuse. The vision for the garden was to create an inclusive experience for veterans in residential care, many of whom were injured in combat. “Other vets will come in and I show them, ‘these plants need to be watered,’ and ‘these ones don’t need to be watered,’ so it’s a responsibility.”  Read the story on Voicewaves.vet garden
