Neighborhood pushes to curb pet waste

Boyle Heights residents concerned about pet waste have taken up the issue with the Neighborhood Council, saying animal waste could cause health problems in the community. Some residents want the city to put bag stands in parks. Others say pet-owners need to be informed of their duties to the public. “I see a lot of people walking by with their animal empty-handed. It’s an easy thing to notice if people are being responsible, because if they are, they’ll have a bag in their hand.” Read the story on Boyle Heights Beat.DOGS1-BY-RENE-EDUARDO-AYALA
