Del Norte teen Jason Wilson describes feeling trapped and bored as a youth in a town with limited access to healthy activities for youth -- places to hang out with friends are important, but so are job opportunities and transportation.  Drugs and drinking becomes a default mode of burning youthful energy where they feel they have few other outlets.  "Until we solve the problems of high unemployment, poor transportation, and a culture of drug and alcohol abuse, you’ll keep hearing 'I’m so bored' from us kids."  Read his commentary on Redwood Voice.crescent-city-b-street
