Artists use social media to make an 'Insta-grand'

Artists in all media are finding more ways to sell their work online. Oakland artist Victor Vazquez realized he could get paid as an artist when he doodled on a piece of wood at a friends house and put it on the internet for $100.  Someone bought the piece and he's since sold many more. "With a quick swap of some Paypal information, the trade is made. It may not be a Sotheby’s auction, but [someone] got an original piece of art, and Victor Vazquez made $100 with a sharpie and social media."  Check out the story, featured on Marketplace, from Youth Radio.Instagrand
