Fresno: how should millions in school funding be spent?

California public schools are getting more revenue this year plus ostensibly more control over communities in how it is spent.  Fresno communities got together to discuss improvements to their schools.  Students spoke out against extending the school day, which some officials have proposed to do with the new funding, and one parent said she hoped funds could address school discipline policies and procedures that disproportionately impact minority students.  “Times have changed, but are kind of still the same.  The minorities are getting suspended 3 to 5 times more than anyone else.”  Find out more of what parents and school leaders debated on The Know.skoo
