Coachella Unincorporated reporter Karla Martinez spent some weeks with her aunt this summer, and got an up-close view of the around-the-clock responsibilities of working mothers.  The routine she observed looked far more exhausting than she had imagined.  The visit also gave her insight into the household labor breakdown in the culture her aunt lives in.  "Despite the fact that my aunt enjoys having a family of her own, she told me that if she knew it was this hard, she would have waited until she finished her studies, instead of getting married and having a baby at age 17."  Read the story on Coachella Unincorporated.clock-150x150
