Richmond celebrates International Women's Day, 2013

Mayor Gayle McLaughlin organized the city of Richmond's first ever celebration of International Women's Day in 2008, and has continued the annual event.   Labor leader and activist Dolores Huerta was the keynote speaker at this year's event, on March 9, which included round table discussions, performances by local artists, and other guest speakers.
