Long Beach Activists Speak Out At May Day 2021

Long Beach continued its tradition of rallying around community issues for May Day. This year, speakers were invited to raise awareness around social issues like the mistreatment of workers at large corporations and lack of transparency about the treatment of migrant children at a Long Beach detention center. “We’re here because all of the children must be freed and reunited with their families,” Jeffrey Hoku of By Any Means Necessary said. “They have the right to be here and the right to be with their families.
