Including “us” in US History

On September 28, revisions to California history and social sciences textbooks were made to include information about numerous marginalized groups, including LGBTQ+ and disabled communities. After years of focusing on white, straight, cisgender males, history books will now better reflect the diversity of our country. “It’s time to teach our children American history that is fair, accurate, inclusive, and respectful of all its citizens who have built this country on their backs.” Read more at Access Local TV.
