Don't revoke DACA, give 'Dreamers' a chance

A classmate's deportation a few days before high school graduation ruined what should have been a day of pride for Leydy Rangel's eastern Coachella Valley community. Rangel said President Barack Obama's Deferred Action of Childhood Arrivals, or DACA, program gave a lot of hope that children may stay in the country where they were raised, versus the ones they left at young ages. That hope now feels under threat. "If Trump follows as promised and revokes DACA, a lot of talent, dedication, ambition and intelligence will be tossed out."
