Long Beach nutritionists link 'clean eating' to disordered eating in young women

Health and diet fads can be taken too far. The Paleo diet led one 21-year-old Cal State Long Beach student to fixate on avoiding all modern processed foods. Nutritionists are finding more young women suffering from orthorexia, a condition in which the sufferer obsessively avoids foods they view as unhealthy or impure. “All I’m hearing is clean eating, clean eating, clean eating.
