The State of the City, through youthful eyes

The fifth annual People’s State of the City packed an auditorium last month with hundreds of Long Beach residents gathering to discuss topics ranging from schools and safety to environmental health and inequality. Youth made a strong presence at the event, and were ready to answer a prompt from Voicewaves reporters: What’s the most important issue affecting you in Long Beach, and what could be done to solve the problem? "The lack of opportunities between neighborhoods...
