Republicans keep fueling the fire for Latino voters

Millions of younger Latinos, especially those born to undocumented parents, are feeling a greater responsibility to get involved in the 2016 Presidential Election. Trump's hate-filled speeches about Mexican immigrants have revved the debate about immigration, the issue that will drive many Latinos—young and old—straight to the polls. Still, many Latino voters will have to decide whether to favor Democrats for a more progressive stance on immigration, or revert to a Republican candidate who hold some of their conservative social values. "Latinos now know that we are the minority-majority and have the power to make our communities, state and nation thrive... We have the power to be a coalition of voters that says that no human is illegal, and that immigrant rights are human rights." More in a column by first-time voter Randy Villega, for South Kern Sol.vote
