Richmond High's Young Leaders program turns students into advocates

The Southeast Asian Young Leaders program started in 2003 as a way to address violence in Richmond. Over a decade later, the program has evolved into a multiracial club focused on leading, improving our communities, and sharing our cultures. "[From] the first meeting [the group] gave me hope that we could make a positive impact on the community. It felt safe and inclusive, a place where everyone can come together behind a goal and have fun working toward it." One student says the program has changed his life, on Richmond Pulse.leaders
