Latinos optimistic about L.A.’s future, poll shows

An online survey of 1,500 Los Angeles County residents showed ethnic gaps in perception about life in the L.A. area. The "Vision Poll" revealed an unexpected disparity in how ethnic groups see themselves and their city in the future. Forty-three percent of Latinos said they thought things would be better in L.A. County in five years, while 49 percent of whites felt that the quality of life would be worse. "The thing that stood out the most is how the poorest and the people that struggle the most are the most optimistic, and the people who have the most are the most cynical." Read more on Boyle Heights Beat.
