Community forum screens human trafficking documentary

California is home to three of the top cities for human trafficking in the country: San Francisco, Los Angeles, and San Diego. But, as a recent film shows, the problem isn’t limited to dense metropolitan areas. "The Trafficked Life" gives viewers a glimpse of Bakersfield’s trafficking underworld, and highlights the efforts of advocates who fight trafficking and help victims find the right services. "Someone chose to take advantage of and violate us. What I’ve been through, I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy." Read about a community forum following the Merced screening, on We'Ced.
