Richmond seeks to bridge the digital divide

While teachers increasingly assign homework that requires Internet access, some students fear they'll be left on the losing side of the "homework gap." Corporations have promised programs to supplement internet service for the poorest neighborhoods, but no launch date has been set. Until then, lower income students have to find their own way to an online computer.  "We looked into getting Wi-Fi but it’s just so expensive... So far my son’s teachers have been pretty understanding but I worry about what will happen next school year." The story is on Richmond Pulse.
