Women in Richmond still making history

Bisa French, the Richmond Police Department’s first ever African-American woman captain, discussed the importance of “planting seeds” in the minds of young people. Women leaders shared the stories of how they got where they are in their professional fields — politics, education, nonprofits, community activism, and healthcare – to inspire achievement in young women. “I believe that we, as women, have a leading role to play in the advancement of all humanity.” Read more on Richmond Pulse.
