Sisters and Brothers at the Capitol

The Alliance for Boys and Men of Color embraced female participation when they converged hundreds of youth in Sacramento from August 4-7, 2014. Youth talked with legislators about issues like school funding, suspension and graduation rates, gender justice, health care for the undocumented and programs to bring up youth of color into leadership and activism. "You suspend a student: one, he's gonna miss out on education... two, there's no telling what he's going to do after he leaves the school. There's a repertoire of things that can get you booted out." This video documents the experience of the young men and women that participated in this delegation, by DetermiNation.[vimeo=http://vimeo.com/104836468]
