Darrell Owens started questioning the tenets of Christian religions as a middle schooler, and during his teens became a self-described atheist. It wasn't easy even admitting his rejection of the beliefs his mother held so dear, but Darrell says it's been worth it. "[A]n unexpected benefit of me losing my faith has been gaining a more honest relationship with my mother." His story, from Youth Radio.
