'Dream Fund' makes college more attainable for undocumented students

A Bakersfield program provides scholarships and mentoring to undocumented students who don't qualify for state or private financial aid.  The College Dream Fund has helped send its students to over a dozen universities.  The founder, a coach for a high school civics club, felt compelled when bright students couldn't afford to go to college.  “At the start of 2009 I had three students who were undocumented and that’s where the discussion came to create this non-profit.”  Read more about the students of the "Dream Fund," on South Kern Sol.dreamers
