Music saved my life

Musician and performer Sunday Simon started rhyming words and making up melodies when she was four years-old.  Then, her life was carefree.  Now in high school, she struggles with self-image, bullying, and other stresses of being a teenager -- and her music has evolved  to reflect those struggles.  She realized that expressing herself through music lifted her above her daily problems, and she started to share her music with others.  "My songs saved my life in the long run.  After overcoming an awful freshman year, I had an idea: maybe my songs could save someone else’s life too."  Her perspective aired on KCBS, for Youth Radio.sunday
