Losing my religion but finding hope in the Pope

As a young Catholic, Yesenia Ayala found few peers in her church, and felt alienated by the language of Catholic leaders.  She eventually felt detached from the religion, and more interested in youth activism. Now, seeing signs that Pope Francis is reaching out to youth, she's hoping young Catholics will get another chance to be active in the church -- and in their communities.  The story is on South Kern Sol.pope
