A bridge to the future: L.A.’s iconic Sixth Street Bridge to be replaced

Local commuters use the Sixth Street Bridge every day to get from Boyle Heights to downtown Los Angeles.  But the 80-year-old concrete and steel bridge will soon be replaced with a new bridge, at a cost of $401 million.  The new bridge design has walking and biking paths, and a park and arts plaza below it, and space for restaurants and businesses.  Read about the historic bridge and the city's plans for its future, on Boyle Heights Beat.bridge
