Youth: Don't battle depression alone

Growing up can be very complicated, and it isn't easy for adolescents and teens to ask for help.  Young people are still figuring out who they are when they begin battling depression, and don't have the tools that adults have learned for dealing with painful emotions.  Suicide is a leading cause of death for youth between the ages of ten and twenty-four in the United States. “We don’t ask for help when we feel depressed because no one takes it serious.”  Read more in Karla Martinez's story on Coachella Unincorporated.Karlas-Dad
