Letters To Joe: Youth Perspectives On Gun Violence

President Obama announced in January that he would push forward four major legislative actions aimed at preventing gun violence, including a ban on assault weapons and expanded background checks for gun purchasers. The President made a point of saying in his announcement that the voices of children "should compel us to change."   To add to this conversation, reporters at Youth Radio put together a collection they call "Letters to Joe": stories written by themselves and partner organizations across the country about how guns affect them and their communities.  View the list of stories on Youth Radio.27
