Boyle Heights drowning in alcohol: Community wants to reduce number of liquor stores

With 100 stores that sell alcohol, Boyle Heights has 77 percent more stores than West Covina, and 45 percent more than Compton and Santa Monica.  All are communities with roughly the same number of residents.  Some locals believe that alcohol is too readily available in Boyle Heights.
