Del Norte youth visit Oakland and Richmond

In October, a delegation of youth and adults from Del Norte visited Oakland and Richmond to learn about youth media and youth development. At Youth Uprising they watched an incredible documentary film about chess in Brooklyn; learned about how to craft a radio commentary at Youth Radio. They attended a youth leadership meeting at RYSE and brainstormed story ideas with editors from New America Media. On Tuesday they took photos in downtown Oakland and created blogs on Del Norte Visits Oakland. A big thank you to everyone who welcomed them to the Bay Area!
