Imagining a park at Piggyback

Environmentalists and urban planners have an ambitious plan to transform a rail yard into a ribbon of green connecting Boyle Heights to downtown L.A.  A park  with cutting edge design is an exciting prospect for Boyle Heights residents, a population of almost 90,000 with fewer than 10 parks.  The Union Pacific train company says they have no plans to sell the rail yard.  Read more on Boyle Heights Beat.
