Bicyclists cruise the city to install racks

The Boyle Heights Rack City Ride was intended by organizers to show residents and cyclists that, though L.A.'s Department of Transportation painted bike lanes along the 1st Street Corridor in Boyle Heights, bike racks were virtually absent.  Biking advocates, from City of Lights and Multicultural Communities for Mobility, took riders on an informal training for community members to begin installing their own racks, or discussing the prospect with local vendors. Visit Boyle Heights Beat for the full story and photo slide show of the event.[youtube=http://youtu.be/W4HyDEGYIeQ]
