Ground Truthing: A community’s effort against pollution

While Boyle Heights often gets a bad rap for violent streets, members of the Boyle Heights community are organizing to eliminate neighborhood environmental hazards. The East L.A. Community Corporation is holding public demonstrations to draw attention to street garbage, tractor and other industrial factors, and factory pollution.Boyle Heights Beat reporter Charley Patiño and photographer Angel Lizzaraga went along to document the activity with photos.
