Why the childhood obesity trend can be reversed

The 'Building Healthy Communities' initiative focuses on four areas of interest to children: medical homes, raising school attendance, reducing violence, and reversing childhood obesity. Of these, youth reporters are most optimistic about turning childhood obesity around. The effort doesn't require a "change in culture" the way that addressing youth violence could.  Because the change could be about what food is available and easy to access, schools have unique power in this trend.  Read what Fresno's The Know came up with.
