Richmond’s LGBTQ Community Wants More Safe Spaces

Richmond, Calif. can be a dangerous place for LGBTQ people. Growing up, Andres Serrano, now 33, was openly harassed on the streets for being queer. Now, he’s advocating for more LGBTQ friendly spaces in his community.  “There’s still a lot … that needs to happen in our community. We’re a BIPOC [Black, Indigenous, and people of color] community.
